SPEED DEVELOPMENT.
Many field and court sports require an athlete to be fast and explosive in all different directions. Getting strong in the gym will help with speed development, but there is a point where athletes need to be doing more specific training and technique work to develop their top speed, acceleration and agility.
Our speed development sessions focus on building a solid technical foundation in the three key areas outlined above. The sessions will be tailored specifically to the athlete’s technical needs, positional demands and sport, with expert guidance from our experienced coaches.
Not only will these session help in improving your sporting performance, they will also assist in reducing injury risk.
Speed Development Options.

Individual Speed Development Packs.
For a more specialised approach to your speed development we recommend 1:1 sessions to focus on your technique, specific goals and key positional requirements for your sport.
To start your speed development journey with us, we have either a 4 or 8 session pack. Both of these packs include an Initial Assessment where we assess your max speed, acceleration and agility technique. In this assessment we will use video analysis technology to determine any key technical issues that may need addressing. If you are non-GAC member we will also assess your lower body power and reactive strength using our force plates.
Following your assessment you will receive an in-depth report with a plan of action for your following sessions. Any technical issues or performance goals found in the assessment will then be addressed in the subsequent sessions.
For your convenience we can spread these sessions out however you prefer. They may be weekly or fortnightly or spread across the year, depending on your training and competition schedule.

4 Pack price is $450 ($400 for GAC members)

Group Speed Sessions.
These group sessions include a small amount of running technique and change of direction technique work. The main focus of these sessions are developing speed and agility through drill and conditioning work.
Sessions are specifically designed for field and court sport athletes (eg. Soccer, AFL, basketball, netball, Hockey, tennis, Rugby, Gridiron, Cricket, Baseball) who are looking to get faster and more explosive.
Sessions would also complement the individual sessions well, where you can practice and apply the skills and techniques learnt in these specialised sessions.
PRICES:
Free for all GAC Athlete Development members, Return to Sport members (ideally at end stage of rehab) as well as those on Individual Speed Packs.
Junior Athlete Development members price is $15/ session.
Non- GAC members price is $25/ session.
